This is Homeschool not Public School! Pulling children out of public school to homeschool has become more and more common around the country. But then what? Parents proceed to educate their children at home in the best way they know how. Some rely on the public school system for their curriculum and resources. Others find their own tools and curriculum. Using whatever resource is available is great. Even if the choices are limited because you are home with your children there are better ways if parents take the time to think about what is the best way to homeschool. 1. Remember you are home: Homeschooling does take time to adjust to but don’t require your children to school as if they were in public school. Scheduling is much different. It’s much more relaxed and calm. There is no need for strict, inflexible rules. Encouragement and love are necessary. Find the curriculum and activities which are best for your family. 2. Restore the love of learning: Depending on the student and their emotional state, sometimes it’s good to take a break from studies and just do fun reading or work on projects the child wants to learn to restore the love of learning. Since it takes determination in order to persevere, I have chosen to put both characteristics into one theme that I believe was evident throughout the epic. Had Odysseus not personified both of these traits at all times, there would have been no epic because the hero would never had been able to survive away from home for 20 years before returning. It is only through Odysseus’s sheer determination that the story was able to reach its climatic conclusion. He displayed over and over his ability to simply â€Å"grin and bear it† when hardships were encountered. There are many practical and logical reasons to argue pro-capital punishment, and in this paper we shall discuss three of such utilitarian arguments: the first being that incapacitation of dangerous criminals purges the public of its ours, thus creating a safer place for all; second is, retributive Justice, as some wrongdoers cannot physically serve enough life sentences, for all the lives theyve taken, to Justify their stay on this Earth.
